Scam Awareness Info Booth 'Fridays' at SCV Senior Center Bella Vida

It's a privilege to have access to our community's older adults through the SCV Senior Center at Bella Vida. Getting in took months of emails, proposals, and executive summaries defining exactly what we'd be doing with their members, but the wait was worth it.
The hesitation was understandable. Letting a group of high schoolers into the center to teach members about fraud prevention is a real leap of faith, and staff had to be sure of us first. Eventually they gave us the opportunity.
That access lets us distribute our educational resources, run workshops, and get feedback from the people we're trying to help. Scaling and expansion are great, but you have to test and validate a program before you scale it.
The info booth next to the dining hall is where that happens. We get individual conversations with older adults and hear the scams actually landing in their inboxes and on their phones. That tells us which programs and products to focus on.
